Join our team of experienced technicians as a Sprinkler Fitter! In this role, you will:
- Select pipe sizes and materials, measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
- Assemble and secure pipes, tubes and fittings, turn off existing systems to secure new pipes
- Weld and solder pipes to create joints and attach pipes to fixtures
- Layout drawings of full-scale piping systems, cut and bore holes in pipes, according to blueprints and specifications.
- Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Clean and modify current sprinkler systems.
- Lift and climb with heavy loads.
- Use knowledge of NFPA codes and standards and plumbing codes and standard and knowledge of practical engineering applications.
You should bring:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, required
- At least 3 years of industry experience working on fire sprinkler systems
- Experience using hand tools and welding and soldering equipment
- Certifications: NICET and a Backflow License are preferred
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, required
- Have a demonstrated track record of reliability, a strong work ethic, professional attitude, and attention to detail as well as experience including strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills
- Strong communication and documentation skills both verbally and in writing
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with employees, customers and vendors in a professional manner
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Consent for background screening upon hire
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools of more than 50lbs.
- Ability to work in somewhat difficult positions like climbing ladders, high lift equipment, working in crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
