We are based in Rockville, MD and have an excellent team of employees who are responsible for the design, installation, and inspection of fire alarms, sprinkler systems, kitchen fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, and kitchen hood/duct systems. We have an extensive customer base with over 10,000 fire systems that we perform recurring inspection and repair services throughout the region. About The Position
The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for managing the company's billing operations, including invoicing and accounts receivable activities. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely billing, managing customer accounts, and optimizing the billing process to improve efficiency and cash flow. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives across multiple locations in several states
Job Duties include but are not limited to
- Oversee the daily operations of the billing and accounts receivable departments, ensuring accurate and timely billing across multiple offices in several states.
- Develop and implement billing and accounts receivable policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Effective oversight and adherence to policies and procedures associated with customer bill paying portals to ensure that work orders are processed and invoices properly uploaded in a timely and efficient manner.
- Develop and implement collection strategies to improve cash flow and reduce outstanding receivables.
- Monitor and analyze accounts receivable aging reports and take appropriate action on overdue accounts.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and payment processing.
- Monitor and analyze processes and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Lead and mentor staff, providing training and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Prepare and present regular reports to general and senior management.
- Manage the implementation of new systems and technologies.
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to enhance financial operations and support business objectives.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in billing operations and/or accounts receivable, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience with managing eBilling processes and 3rd party portal management.
- Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Compensation
- Base Salary: Negotiable - based on candidate experience
