California based Fire Protection Contractor has an immediate need for a Fire Sprinkler Designer in multiple offices along the Pacific Coast.
Experiences in layout of commercial and residential Fire Sprinkler systems using AutoCAD based software, including use of REVIT, with strong knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints. Provide support to Engineering department by providing detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams.
Designs fire protection sprinkler systems. Reviews work order and procedural manuals to determine critical dimensions of design and designs fire protection sprinkler systems within allocated hours for each job.
Must be proficient in math skills as well as ability to perform Hydraulic Calculations.
Must have a sound working knowledge of local, State as well as NFPA 13 codes and standards
Be able to professionally communicate with customers, employees, and building/fire departments.
Education and/certifications
Higher education within industry related field preferred; REVIT /BIM / Navisworks knowledge / training, with 3-5+ years industry elated experience in the design of fire sprinkler systems.
NICET Certification preferred, but not required.
