Summary
This position is for Residential (CPVC) 13D systems only. Installation of Sprinkler Systems in One-to-Two-Family Dwellings and Manufactured Homes. No Cal-Fire Fitters Card or being a part of an apprenticeship program is required. We are seeking both ENTRY LEVEL and EXPERIENCED individuals. The basic function of this position is to service fire sprinkler systems while working under minimal supervision. Having a proactive attitude, good attendance, and the desire to grow is vital to the success of this position.
Duties And Responsibilities
Entry Level
- Installation of new fire sprinkler systems in single-family residents.
- Install CPVC fire sprinkler pipe.
- Work with power tools.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work on a ladder.
- Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints.
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite.
- Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
Experienced Fitter
- Read blueprints and create layouts for coworkers/apprentices.
- Have a working knowledge of some or all of the NFPA 13D.
- Pipe 15 to 20 heads per day.
- Drill out 3 tract homes of 25 heads.
- Test and perform inspections.
- Inspect, alter, and repair minor issues for service calls with no supervision.
- Train fitters that are 0-24 months.
- Troubleshoot job site alterations with minimum supervision.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is not required but is preferred. Blazemaster, OSHA 10, and CPR/First Aid training must be obtained within the first 3 months of employment provided by the company.
Qualifications
- Have a working knowledge of CPVC.
- A clean driving record is a plus.
- Motivated and a self-starter.
- Problem solver.
- Able to work independently.
- Ability to give and follow directions.
- Basic knowledge of mobile devices for communication with apps like Outlook, Teams, Paycom, and BuilderTrend.
- Basic math skills.
Physical Requirements
This job requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, and arms to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear; lift up to 100 lbs; and have clear, color vision.
