Summary
The Field Supervisor is an experienced fitter position that supervises and trains workers and tradespeople. Having a go-getter attitude, good attendance, and the desire to grow is vital to the success of this position. [This position includes both Residential (plastic) systems and Commercial (steel) systems and can be alternated as needed.]
Duties And Responsibilities
- Read blueprints.
- Have a working knowledge of some or all of the following documents: NFPA 13D, 13R and 13.
- Provide information about the progress of the project.
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
- Ensure manpower and resources are adequate.
- Supervise and train workers and tradespeople.
- Have a professional attitude and appearance.
- Interface with customers and superintendents.
- Motivated and a self-starter.
- Problem solver.
- Able to work independently.
- Ability to give and follow directions.
- Have a working knowledge of steel piping and/or CPVC (both is preferred, but not required).
- Must be able to lift 100 pounds.
- Prove a minimum of 2-3 years of full-time experience in the trade.
- A clean driving record is a plus.

Education And Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Blazemaster, OSHA 10, and CPR/First Aid training must be obtained within the first 3 months of employment.

- Basic math skills are a necessity. The ability to calculate figures and amounts. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions delivered in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in unstandardized situations.
Physical Requirements
This job requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, use on hands, arms to reach, climbing and balance, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking and hearing; lift up to 100lbs; and have clear, color vision.
