Summary
Field Trainers is to provide the necessary skills to aid and train apprentices daily. Following the training coordinator’s assignments and reporting cases back with results from the training with the individual apprentices by filling out corrective action forms, checklists, and training summaries.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Understand blueprints.
- Knowledge of some or all of the following documents: NFPA 13D, 13R, and 13.
- Track progress and evaluate trainees and apprentices as they progress.
- Teach physical and professional techniques to installers and foremen.
- Motivate and teach trainees to attain both high production/speed while maintaining quality.
- Be flexible working with a variety of individuals across multiple projects with an adaptable schedule.
- Interface with customers and superintendents.
- Have a working knowledge of steel piping and/or CPVC (both is preferred, but not required).
- Must be able to lift 100 pounds.
- Prove a minimum of 5+ years of full-time experience in the trade.
- A clean driving record is a plus.

Education And Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Blazemaster, OSHA 10, and CPR/First Aid training must be obtained within the first 3 months of employment.

- 5 years minimum of single-family home fire sprinkler systems experience.
- CPVC Certified.
- Safety Requirements and OSHA 10 Certified.
- This job requires that you can read, write, and speak English. It is required to have the ability to comprehend instructions, write correspondence, and read lists and reports.
- This job requires the use of Paycom, Outlook, and BuilderTrend. Basic knowledge of mobile devices for communication.
- Basic math skills are a necessity. The ability to calculate figures and amounts. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions delivered in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in unstandardized situations.
Physical Requirements
