Job Description:

A Fire Sprinkler Inspector in the Fire and Safety Industry is responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire and life safety systems in buildings to ensure they are in compliance with local, state, and national fire codes and standards. They work closely with building owners, facility managers, and AHJ's to ensure that fire and life safety systems are functioning properly, and that people and property are protected from fire.

Responsibilities

Inspecting and testing fire sprinkler systems in accordance with local, state, and national codes and standards.
Identifying deficiencies and making recommendations for repairs or upgrades to bring the system up to code.
Providing reports and documentation of inspection results to building owners, facility managers, and AHJ's.
Communicating with Service technicians to ensure that repairs and upgrades are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Ensuring that fire sprinkler systems are in compliance with all applicable Codes and Standards.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of inspection results, repair work, and equipment maintenance.
Providing training and education to building owners, facility managers, and employees on fire sprinkler systems, emergency procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent, with specialized training in fire sprinkler systems and inspection.
Certification from a recognized organization, such as the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET/ACE), is required.
Proficient in use of report (Inspect Point) inspections software used for reporting from the field.
Require certified Level II Inspector (ACE/NICET)
Inspection experience with Fire Sprinkler mandatory, Fire Alarm and Fire Extinguisher a plus.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Attention to detail and the ability to analyze technical data and reports are also important attributes for a Sprinkler Inspector.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand or climb stairs and ladders for a long period of time.

Ability to lift a minimum of forty (40) pounds without assistance.
